RESUME



Objective: To be part of an ambitious architectural firm that will allow me to utilize and develop my skills as an architecture graduate.

Profile: In November, 2010, I completed my Master’s Degree in Architecture at an overseas university, which has enhanced my knowledge of international architecture and my understanding of global concepts. I am particularly interested in responsible and humanitarian design solutions. I take direction well and I learn quickly. I make an effort to stay up to date with architectural news and trends and I am always keen to master new programs and architectural media.  

Skills: I am very comfortable working with AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, Kerkythea, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Corel Draw, and Adobe Flash. I also have a little experience with Rhino and 3DS Max. Additionally, I have skills in graphic design, photography, model making, and hand drawings (refer to blog).

Relevant Work Experience:


  - (May 2012 - present) Designer at Hanbury Evans Wright Vlattas & Company, in Norfolk, Virginia.


  - (Feb. 2012) Work Program Architects. I assisted WPA during the design of a pro bono sustainable farming project in Virginia. I also performed additional design consulting over the four week period.
  
  - (Feb. 2010 – Nov. 2010) University of Auckland Architecture Library in Auckland, New Zealand. My role was to maintain the organizational standards of the library.


  - (Nov. 2005 – Feb. 2009) Kennyetto Graphics in Gloversville, New York, USA. My role was an architectural signage designer and manufacturer. I also studied architectural documents for tendering purposes.
  

Achievements: Graduating with first class honours, Winner of the 2009 ContainerTech Office Design Contest; work exhibited in World Habitat Day Exhibition 2010 in Auckland; work exhibited in Architecture for Humanity Exhibition 2009 in San Diego; received the Ken McIntosh Timberlam Prize 2009; work presented in a paper on disaster relief shelters to delegates at a conference on humanitarian design in Delhi, India, 2010. I am a member of the Auckland Architecture Association, Architecture for Humanity, and the Open Architecture Network.
